Clowns are evil. Ok, maybe not all clowns but for the most part they are just plain scary.I had a clown lamp as a little kid, and it scared the hell out of me every night. I would move it into the hallway outside my bedroom and the next day it would be back. I don’t know if it was my mom moving it back or the freaking thing just crawled back itself. Either way, my mom is still trying to give me that lamp. Anyway… this is based off that lamp. If you want it, call my mom.

This is a digital sketch using a standard photoshop brush and a wacom. It’s one of my first experiments drawing straight in photoshop. Since i was unfamiliar with using the brush engines i kept the brush small and drew similar to how I approach a scratch-board illustration. I think it turned out rather well, but what it really did was open my eyes to the world of digital painting. Within weeks I had compiled a library of homemade brushes from dabbing and scanning and experimented by all means possible. Digital painting was the new medium. I will never say goodbye to my pencils or oils, but I am addicted to the new possibilities.

This is a portrait of my friend Erika. I wanted to paint a day of the dead type of girl and when i saw this pic of her I thought it would be perfect. She loved it, and I loved it so I posted it on redbubble and people seem to love it there as well.

This was a quick logo I did after riding kayaks down a river with some buddies and we decided we were going to start a country band called peacekeeper. If you know me… you would have never pictured me in that conversation. But this logo is proof that it happened. The band… not so much.
